Miret helps to develop a talent of Roma children already 15 years. Children grow with us, there is growing up first generation already. We create positive roles that the children miss and first generation devotes artistic educational aktivity and closely works with children. We, Miret and the children together with us change the world and you are an imporant part of this.

Čhavorenge

Čhavorenge is a children´s singing choir that was founded by choirmistress Ida Kelarova in 2011. The members of this choir are Roma children and youth from Czech and Slovak socially weak families, city ghettos, excluded localities, Roma settlements and orphanages.

This choir can boast already concerts with various philharmonics in the Czech Republic and in abroad e. g. performance with Sinti Philharmonic from Frankfurt am Main (Germany) at galaconcert of Menuhin Festival in Gstaad (Switzerland), with Philharmonic of Hradec Králové, Philharmonic of Bohuslav Martinů (Zlín – the Czech Republic) and the biggest their concert was held on 17th November 2014 in a the occasion International Student´s Day in Dvořák Hall Rudolfinum in Prague.

From your donations will be covered travel expenses, board and lodging that are for us finance-consuming with regard the number of 34 members of choir from separate nooks of Czech and Slovakia,   that´s we can work with children just once a quarter of a year. We work with children without claiming fee.

 Romano drom

Summer school Romano drom will happen this year during days 23rd August – 5th August in Mníchovský potok (eastern Slovakia) for 50 Roma children and youth from socially weak families, orphanages, excluded localities, city ghettos and Roma settlements in Czech and Slovak Republic.

During summer school the selected idividuals have an opportunity to develop their singing or dancing talent under guidance of professional musicians and also there are prepared for them lectures about identity, leadership activities and English lessons. The goal of all those activities is to show young Roma that they can be active and the reason of their poverty is not being Roma, but the social status in which they are situated, boost a self-confidence and the self-esteem of being Roma, because there are not much positive roles for them and also to enable a space for a varied group of Roma children and youth, in which individuals can inspire, boost a motivation each other and learn on from other muttually.

 International Roma Festival Romale

During days 13th – 16th August 2015 will také place a four-day festival of contemporary Roma music, traditional Roma music, multicultural music. On program will be also lectures, discussions, theatral performances, screening of movies and workshop. The locality where there festival will také place we will specify later.

Romano drom summer school with concerts in three towns in the North Bohemia (Šluknovsko) will take place during July 30 - August 13, 2016.

Concerts with the Czech Philharmonic

Four concerts by the Čhavorenge Choir and Czech Philharmonic directed by Marco Ivanović will take place in Prague in October 2016.
