Charity Donations Programme
By organizing fundraisers we financially support the summer workshops, preparatory courses for entrance exams, vocal, dance and art workshops held throughout the whole year, stage costumes for performances, musical instruments and others.
This fundraiser was started in 2005 by MIRET. The aim of the fundraiser is to provide material help to talented Roma children, children from socially disadvantaged families, Romani schools, and to improve the quality of education, raise awareness about life and culture in the Czech and Slovak Republic.
In summer 2010 we were able to organize the Performing Arts summer camp with the aid of the proceeds. The camp welcomed 22 Roma children and the finances also covered concerts in Romani settlements in Slovakia, other fundraisers for collecting clothing and school equipment for workshops such as whiteboards and art supplies, a piano and other musical intruments.
Currently the fundraiser is focused on supporting the project ČHAVORENGE (100-member children's choir). Thanks to this project the children have a long-term activity which motivates and inspires them.

According to the law, financial and material gifts are deductable on an income tax return:
- Natural persons – the value of gifts given to good causes is deductable if the aggregate annual value of gifts exceeds 2% of the tax base or is at least 1.000, - CZK. In total, you can deduct up to 10% of the tax base. (§ 15 paragraph 5 of the Act. No. 586/1992 Coll., - Income Tax Law).
- Legal persons – the value of the gifts is deductable from the tax base according to § 34 of the Act. on income taxes if the value of the donation is at least 2.000, - CZK. In total more than 5% can be deducted of the already reduced tax base. This deduction is not applicable to those persons who are not registered as businesses. (§ 20, paragraph 8 and § 34 of the Act. No. 586/1992 Coll., - Income Tax Law).
