MIRET in Dornbin, Austria – April 2011

Collaboration was established with Austrian grammar school in Dornbin in 2003, where local children, with the help of teacher Rainer Feurstein, organized a clothing collection fundraiser for children living in the Romani settlemet in Lenartov, Slovakia.

Tens of kilograms of clothing were delivered by a truck provided by the firm Gebrüder Weiss as a sponsor gift.

In 2011, the Dornbin grammar school in collaboration with MIRET held a vocal and dance workshop lead by Ida Kelarová and her artistic team.

The workshop took place on 26.-28.4 and was attended by 60 children from the Dornbin grammar school.

At this event, MIRET chose 12 young talented Roma children to participate in this project, during which they can meet andpresent the Romani culture together .

The whole project culminated in a concert on 28. April.
