For our Volunteer Programme we are looking for assistants, coordinators, nurses/paramedics, professionals from the area of ecology, computer studies, music, themed games and many more...

We organize volunteer help mainly in the summer months.

To prepare the volunteer we hold one meeting in the Czech Republic where we introduce the project, brief about experience from previous years and create a plan of summer activities. We coordinate volunteer work on the spot and support the volunteers.

In the last years we have offered preparatory courses focused on ecology, English, Czech, computer skills, music, art and drama, leisure activities and furthermore themed games and drama.

There are approximately 300 000 Roma living in the Czech Republic and 520 000 in the Slovak Republic (source: wikipedia.cz) More than a half lack basic living conditions. Most children do not have the opportunity to develop their talent and receive formal education.

With this programme, MIRET would like to create adequate living conditions for the children to develop their skills and talent.

Roma children and youth are given the chance to change their unfortunate fate and live a full life.

Roma children display great potential but are unfortunately underestimated by our society. We need Roma role models.

Our target group comprises of children and youth up to the age of 18 who need constant, systematic and high-quality supervision in developing their talent. These children are given a chance to change their unfortunate fate with professional assistance and guidance.
